Professional Background

Due to his skill set, Jan has become more and more involved in the internal processes of the firm. Since 2013, he has been fully dedicated to assisting Ondřej Peterka with the management of the firm.
Jan became a Partner of the firm in 2002 and soon thereafter was appointed leading counsel for several major M&A transactions.
Between 2003 and 2006, he advised ECE European City Estates in connection with the purchase and subsequent sale of several administrative buildings in Prague, the value of which exceeded €120 million.
Between 2007 and 2012, he assisted Nordic Partners in connection with the acquisition (€200 million) of Hamé Group, a major Czech food producer, and its subsequent restructuring, and in multiple rounds of refinancing.
Jan has also advised major Czech banks, including UniCredit Bank, Raiffeisenbank, Komerční banka, in connection with numerous export and structured finance transactions in CEE and the CIS.
